  Avalon Gardens sometimes has openings for apprentices. These are fulltime positions with flexible hours & days off.

  We accept people who are self-motivated, have a lot of initiative, can work independently, and are able to communicate and get along well with others. We want people who take responsibility for themselves and the work that they do. Some experience is preferred, altho not necessary, as long as you have a genuine interest in all that we do here. Hopefully, you have a good capacity for learning and are willing to do many different things. There will be no tasks that go on so long that they become tiresome or boring.

  We want people who are positive and openminded, creative, vegetarian, non-smoking, and in good physical condition. You have a driver's license and preferably a vehicle, altho occasional use of our vehicle would be okay. A good sense of humour is important, and knowing the difference between sincerity and seriousness helps.

  Room and board is provided. You will live in your own space (barrelhouse, treehouse, or retreat hut), sometimes socializing and sharing meals with us, sometimes doing your own thing. We have an extensive library as well as a good computer with unlimited internet connection. Meditation instruction is also an option. Some salary may be possible. Longterm employment with share in profit is also possible. In any case, you will enjoy being here and leave with many skills and a good reference.
