The Joy of Chanting with John Coleman Yoga class offered by John at 4pm For those coming from far away, you are welcome to stay overnite thou an RSVP is Required as soon as possible. Come and share Sadhana with John Coleman. Based on his Devotion and Heart Centered Bhakti Yoga lineage, John will invite you to release the mundane, and flow into an Open Hearted exploration of Body, Mind and Soul in Asana and Guided Meditation. After a nice flow of Asanas, John uses his Tibetan Singing Bowl and Tamboura with soothing Chants as tools to help you to delve deeply into Yoga Nidra, or Yogic Relaxation. After Sadhana, get a taste of Yogic Kirtan Chanting as John leads Satsanga. Lyric sheets and some coaching in Sanskrit pronunciation will be provided. The chants are all "Call and Response" and are all in Sanskrit... we'll do a little practice on the pronunciation before we fly into each of them. Significance of the Imagery and chant will also be shared. There is no charge for either the Yoga or the Kirtan, but there will be a donation basket for people who wish to contribute in helping John continue his training and education. John Coleman is a devoted yogi who has surrendered his life to his Bhaktan Path. John completed his 200 hour certification with Atlantic Yoga Teacher Training, an affiliate of Kripalu Yoga. John's passion for his yogic path has compelled him to deeply study many ancient and modern texts, and has lead to a life altering personal Sadhana based on Ishvara Pranidhana and all aspects of Patanjali's Ashtanga, or Eight-Fold Path. John's devotion to God, all nature, all humans, his practice, and his students creates a loving and spiritually meaningful yoga practice. Although this practice will lead to a strong and beautiful body, the intention is to heal, strengthen, and focus the Body, Mind, and Spirit as equal parts of the Human Being. One very important component of John's Bhakti Sadhana involves sacred chanting as he plays his Tamboura and chants very relaxing live music during the deep relaxation in his classes. Currently, John has the great honour of studying with Divya Prabha, a Great Bhakti Sage living part-time in Nova Scotia.
